FINISHED! :)

I finally finished my sweater.  My math was off when I initially ordered the yarn and had to place a new order and just finished it!

Here is the pattern on my Pinterest, it's free from Bernat:

Hoodie sweater

Here are the pictures of the final product!  I used 100% cotton yarn, Sugar N' Cream Twists & Bernat Twists.  It's HUGE and is so comfortable!  This is a must make for a quick throw over for a campfire on a summer night, or to have a lazy day around the house.

What a week!

First full 40 hour work week of the year!  Being back in the full swing with new jobs to learn/do is wonderful!

I've also gotten back into the groove of my Muay Thai kickboxing for the next 3 months.  SOOOO much fun!!

I haven't had much time to do anything from my Pinterest this week.  I did make some breakfast egg muffins with turkey sausage & cheddar cheese.

Mini Omlets

I found they cook in about 25-30 min.  They make 12 in regular muffin tin.  I didn't use cupcake liners nor did I pre-grease the tin.  They came right out.  DELICIOUS!

I'll be back with some more pins.  Sorry for the short post tonight.  My Husband is away overseas and I'm really missing him tonight. <3

Having fun :)

I've got QUITE a few things brewing in my kitchen and living room :)

I'm making cleaner with vinegar and orange peels.  The mix is currently in my pantry closet "fermenting".  The vinegar is sucking up all the orange goodness.  No pictures on this one, but they do look like the ones on the website I found the recipe on.

Another vinegar orange cleaner recipe

I've also made a batch of shower discs.  These are so easy to make.  I had put them IN the oven (with it OFF) to harden.  Yea, not so good :/  12-14 hours for them to harden.  Add the water about 1/4 cup at a time so you don't get too much and it's soupy or like cake mix.  You want it to be a nice thick consistency.
15 drops of ESSENTIAL oil eucalyptus, rosemary & lavender.  Yes, essential oil isn't cheap but it does work best.

You can also put a couple drops in some water on a tart warmer.

Shower Spots

I have a mini muffin tin and found some of the mini cups.  One of them in a shower is great, cleared me right up in a couple days.

Lastly, this weekend I'm working on a sweater for myself.  I'm using cotton yarn and plan on having a nice spring/summer pullover that I can schlemp around the house in, wear to the beach, or sit around a bonfire with my Hubbyliciousness and friends :)

Crochet Pullover

This is the yarn that I'm using.  I've had to tweak it a bit because it's different than what the pattern calls for.  I'm using each color that they have about 2 of each skein for the sweater in NO rhyme or reason.  Just close my eyes and pick a color from the bag :)

Sugar n cream twist cotton yarn

Well, that's it for an update.  I'll take pictures of the orange mix when it's done (about 2 weeks) and the sweater (probably next weekend)

Have a great day and thanks for reading :)

2nd Pinterest project

Well, we're on day 4 of 2013 and I've done 2 of my Pinterest pins.  I just finished my 2nd.

A pair of fingerless gloves with mitten covers.  Each one took about 3 hours to make all single crochet.  Quite an easy pattern to follow.  I may end up making a pair for myself after this :)

Crocheted mittens/fingerless gloves

Here are a couple pictures of the completed project :)

This final picture is about the color of the gloves.  A nice deep orchid.  These were special order for a friend.  I think she's going to like them :)

Until next project!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!

Good morning!  We've made it to another year!  As years past, there have been joys there have been sorrows.  There has been good luck and bad.
My husband left for his 4th tour of duty in 2012.  He WILL be home in 2013!!!  I wish I could say this is his last one, but you cannot be sure with the Military.

Have you made any resolutions?  Mine is to continue to eat healthy (I've had a couple "bad" days but for the most part it's been GREAT).  Also to continue exercise.  I've started taking Krav Maga.  I thought at first I wouldn't be able to continue because of my bursitis and bad knees, etc.  It's very low impact and I must say I feel WONDERFUL!!  Exhausted and exhilarated after each class :)

This year I'm going to try something new.  I've become a Pinterestaholic O.O  I've pinned so many recipes and crafty things, this year I plan on doing some of them!

I will do at LEAST one a week, whether it be food or a craft or home improvement project, I will do this :)

When I remember (I thought of this after breakfast this morning)  I'll take a picture of the completed project!

Breakfast:
Apple Pancake Rings

Since I don't have an apple corer I just cut them in half to get the seeds out and sliced them up into slim wedges.  I also used gluten free pancake mix (I have a gluten sensitivity) Red Mill brand.  They came out delicious!!  The apple (I used Fuji) still had a nice crunch to them.  Put a little nutmeg in with the cinnamon, tastes like apple pie :)

Have a great Tuesday!
